Due to the more extensive storage needs even home users need a network storage drive to share data and information between all PCs in the net. In addtion multimedia files can be shared and backups are much simpler with such devices.
Most devices have a capacity of about 2 TB. In addition with their mobile cousins (USB-Sticks with up to 32 GB and small external HDDs with 350 GB) this allows for a great deal of mobility and flexibility.
